It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer.

The boy has caught an owl,
from deep within the forest.

He’s tethered it’s large, pale yellow claws,
and holds it out,
for fifty thousand,
offering it as pet or meat.

It’s large and heavy, intricately feathered
head, hangs down,
it’s little body punctured and slack.

‘Let it go,’ the kind man said,
‘Give it back to the wild where it belongs’

The young boy smiles in innocent ignorance.

There,
is his lack of empathy

in his extended belly.

I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever feeling sorry for itself.

– D.H. Lawrence

Simplicity is not grinding poverty: It is not the polar opposite of wealth. To live simply is to pursue a quiet path of moderation. In a life of balance between opposite extremes lies inner happiness.

not with the eye in your head.”

We are all connected… you have to get away from the whole idea of separateness, because separateness is the biggest problem in the world now.

Lynne McTaggart

The deepest level of truth uncovered by science, & by philosophy, is the fundamental truth of unity. At that deepest subnuclear level of our reality, you & i are literally one.

The power to think true is the savior of humanity.

I do not particularly like the word ‘work.’ Human beings are the only animals who have to work, and I think that is the most ridiculous thing in the world. Other animals make their livings by living, but people work like crazy, thinking that they have to in order to stay alive. The bigger the job, the greater the challenge, the more wonderful they think it is. It would be good to give up that way of thinking and live an easy, comfortable life with plenty of free time. I think that the way animals live in the tropics, stepping outside in the morning and evening to see if there is something to eat, and taking a long nap in the afternoon, must be a wonderful life. For human beings, a life of such simplicity would be possible if one worked to produce directly his daily necessities. In such a life, work is not work as people generally think of it, but simply doing what needs to be done.
